IT ALL STARTED WITH MARC

In the 1950s engineer Marc Grégoire, following his wife’s advice, applied a non-stick material to her pans just as he had done with his fishing gear. The results were astounding! Two years later, T-fal was created to produce non-stick frying pans and became the first creator of non-stick cookware. As a result, we have been relentlessly pursuing innovation, always striving to find new solutions to improve your life.

EXPORTING OUR KNOW-HOW

Marc Grégoire decided to produce his own frying pans, and in 1956 set up the T-fal company in Sarcelles, France. In 1961, T-fal began exporting to the US and was eagerly adopted by Jackie Kennedy, then First Lady. The photo of her buying a T-fal pan made the brand famous worldwide. The same year, T-fal created its production site in Rumilly, France.
